Just a few seconds to type up a post -- I don't usually use this journal anymore, but I've already logged into it and most of my friends are aware of both, so those who would be interested in this entry will see it anyway.

We've moved to Kansas and are already both working at Blockbuster, with loads of neat benefits (like free rentals, the option to see movies before we've put them on the shelves, etc) and several friends; we're also moving out on Monday, to a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and a bathtub. So things are going very well for Kat and I. 

Hopefully I'll be online more soon enough, but we shall see. 

I don't have the time to catch up or do a really big entry, but I wanted to say this:

We shaved my cat today. Most of her, anyway, because of her fleas. 

I am not sure if I'm allowed to be amused or not.


 

I’ve decided to get back into playing Pokemon Ruby, since I have no interest in the new ones (Diamond and whatever; the graphics make me ill and I see no appeal in any of the new Pokemon). As I am not a serious gamer by anyone’s criteria, I’ve been poking around walkthroughs and forum discussions almost all afternoon; I know Pokemon has never been at the top of the Complicated RPG Games list (it appeals to young teen boys and closet fans) but for me it is because I have such a short attention span, and tend to think of my Pokemon more like kittens than battlers. This means I always end up with a trashy team, and usually only bother beating the game through once before losing interest.

Not this time. Oh no – this time, I’m going to get my team (as trashy as it will be; I can’t bring myself to train Pokemon that don’t appeal to me visually, and pretty/cute Pokemon tend to have shitty stats) to be killing machines, beat all the contests, and complete the Pokedex. Merlin knows I’ve got the time, especially if I’m to be walking to and from school starting next month. Besides, there’s something oddly satisfying about raising Pokemon.

(Agh, no time to get up on my f-list and comments; I promise I’ll get back to everyone later – for now I’m scampering off to my own computer to work on Tyler’s Jack Sparrow / Sora fix. And possibly Matt/Jeff graphics.)
